Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, baking powder, and sugar. Gradually pour in hot water, stirring continuously until a smooth dough forms.
  2. Divide dough into portions and roll into balls, then flatten each ball into small discs.
  3. Scoop filling into the center of each disc, fold edges over and pinch to seal, then reshape into balls.
  4. Dip each ball in water and coat with sesame seeds, ensuring they are fully covered.
  5. Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) for frying.
  6. Fry sesame balls in batches until golden brown, about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. Remove from oil and let drain on paper towels.
