  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder optional
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder optional or substitute with fresh onions
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Zest freshly grated
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes adjust to taste
For the Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley chopped

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel. Dip each fillet into the prepared butter mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
  4. Arrange the coated cod fillets in a 9x13-inch baking dish. Pour any remaining butter sauce over the top.
  5. Layer lemon slices over and around the cod fillets.
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
  7. Remove from the oven, let it rest, and garnish with parsley before serving.
