Ingredients
  

For the Shrimp
  • 16 oz Large Shrimp, deveined
  • 1 cup Buttermilk Milk can be substituted
  • 1 cup Flour Gluten-free flour can be used
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Regular breadcrumbs can be used
For the Seasoning
  • 1 tsp Paprika Smoked paprika can enhance flavor
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic is a great substitute
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Fresh minced onion can be used
  • 0.5 tsp Cayenne Pepper Adjust for spice tolerance
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Black Pepper Adjust to taste
For the Bang Bang Sauce
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise Greek yogurt is a lighter alternative
  • 0.25 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Adjust for spice preference
For Assembling the Tacos
  • 8 units Tortillas Flour or corn tortillas work
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage Lettuce or slaw can be used
  • 2 units Avocado Sliced radishes can be a substitute

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes to tenderize them.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together.
  3. Remove shrimp from buttermilk, dredge in seasoned flour, dip back in buttermilk, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C). Fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha in a mixing bowl to make the Bang Bang sauce; adjust the heat level as desired.
  6. Warm tortillas, layer with shredded cabbage, crispy shrimp, drizzle with Bang Bang sauce, and add avocado slices.
  7. Garnish tacos with lime wedges and serve immediately.
