- Transfer the hash brown mixture into the greased skillet or pizza pan and press it firmly into an even layer, aiming for about ½-inch thickness.
- Bake the crust in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden-brown and crispy.
- Remove the crust from the oven and sprinkle a layer of shredded cheddar cheese over the hot crust. Add any optional toppings like sausage, bell peppers, and green onions.
- Make four shallow wells in the cheese and toppings using a spoon.
