Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until bubbly. Add 2 sliced ripe bananas, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and a dash of salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, gently stirring until the bananas are golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
  2. While the bananas cool, brew a strong cup of coffee or espresso. Let the coffee cool to room temperature or refrigerate it.
  3. Take a tall glass and drizzle 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce along the sides. Fill halfway with ice cubes, pour in the cooled coffee until the glass is three-quarters full, then top with 1 cup of milk.
  4. Carefully place the warm caramelized bananas on top of the latte mixture. Drizzle more caramel sauce if desired.
  5. Top your latte with whipped cream and additional banana slices. Serve immediately.
