- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until bubbly. Add 2 sliced ripe bananas, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, a pinch of cinnamon, and a dash of salt. Cook for about 5 minutes, gently stirring until the bananas are golden brown and caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- While the bananas cool, brew a strong cup of coffee or espresso. Let the coffee cool to room temperature or refrigerate it.
- Take a tall glass and drizzle 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce along the sides. Fill halfway with ice cubes, pour in the cooled coffee until the glass is three-quarters full, then top with 1 cup of milk.
- Carefully place the warm caramelized bananas on top of the latte mixture. Drizzle more caramel sauce if desired.
- Top your latte with whipped cream and additional banana slices. Serve immediately.
