Step-by-Step Instructions for Caramelized Banana Iced Latte
  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add 2 sliced ripe bananas, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, a pinch of ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, stirring gently until the bananas turn golden brown and caramelized.
  2. While the bananas are caramelizing, brew a strong cup of coffee or espresso using about 1 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds for a rich flavor.
  3. Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to chill your drink. Pour in the cooled brewed coffee, filling the glass about halfway. Add 1 cup of your choice of milk and stir gently.
  4. Spoon the caramelized bananas over the iced latte and drizzle 1-2 tablespoons of caramel sauce on top.
  5. Optionally, top your latte with a swirl of whipped cream, finish off with another drizzle of caramel sauce and a sliced banana for garnish.
