Ingredients

For the Sandwich
  • 4 slices Sourdough Bread Sturdy type enhances texture and flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Softened for easy spreading
  • 2 tablespoons Cranberry Jam Homemade versions work great
  • 4 slices Prosciutto Can substitute with smoked ham
  • 8 ounces Brie Cheese High-quality brie recommended

Equipment

  • large pan or griddle

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. Begin by placing a large pan or griddle over medium heat. Allow it to warm for about 2–3 minutes.
  2. On a clean surface, take two slices of your sturdy bread and spread 1 tablespoon of cranberry jam on each slice.
  3. On one slice of each jam-covered piece of bread, layer ½ of the sliced brie evenly, followed by ½ of the prosciutto.
  4. Top each assembled slice with another jam-spread slice of bread, forming two complete sandwiches.
  5. Use a butter knife to slather each side of the sandwiches with 1 tablespoon of softened unsalted butter.
  6. Carefully place the sandwiches in the heated pan, allowing them to grill for about 3–4 minutes on one side.
  7. After about 3 more minutes of grilling, check the second side for a golden brown color and the melty texture of the brie.
  8. Once perfectly grilled, transfer your sandwiches to a clean plate, cut in half and serve immediately.
