- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
- Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds; pour it into your dry mixture.
- Whisk together an egg or flax mixture; add to the mixture along with vanilla extract, and stir well.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently to ensure even distribution.
- Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
