Step-by-Step Instructions

  3. Prepare an egg wash by mixing one beaten egg with a splash of milk, set aside for later.
  4. Lay two pastry squares on the baking sheet; place ham and cheese on each square, optionally spread with mustard.
  5. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and herbs for added flavor.
  6. Top each filled square with another pastry square and seal the edges using a fork.
