  • 1/2 cup Beeswax or candelilla wax for a vegan option
  • 2 tablespoons Tamanu Oil optional
  • 5 drops Optional Essential Oils (e.g., Lavender) ensure skin-safe options

  • fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Collect fresh dandelion flowers and let them wilt for 1-3 days to reduce moisture.
  2. Fill a jar with wilted dandelion flowers and cover with carrier oil. Infuse on low heat for 2-3 hours or let sit for 4-6 weeks.
  3. Strain the infused oil using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  4. Melt the beeswax in a double boiler, stirring until liquefied.
  5. Combine the melted beeswax with the strained dandelion oil, stirring until well mixed.
  6. Pour the mixture into containers and let it cool until solidified, about 1-2 hours.

Notes

Store in a cool, dark place for up to a year. Check periodically for rancidity.
