Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mash the avocado in a bowl, adding lemon juice and salt.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer the chicken on the unspread side of one bread slice, seasoning if desired.
- Spread the avocado mixture over the chicken and top with cheese.
- Place the second slice of bread on top, mayo side facing up.
- Bake the sandwich for about 10-15 minutes until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven, let cool briefly, then slice and serve warm.
