Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat cooking oil over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Add chicken and cook for 5–7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. Sprinkle taco seasoning over cooked chicken, add salsa and chicken broth, then cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes. Shred chicken.
  4. Warm corn tortillas in a skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side.
  5. Assemble tacos with shredded chicken, cheese, and reserved sauce. Brush tops lightly with cooking oil.
  6. Bake assembled tacos in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, flipping trays halfway through.
  7. Allow tacos to rest for 5 minutes before serving warm with optional toppings.
