Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds.
- Add chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Season with salt, black pepper, and dried herbs if using.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry into a rectangle measuring approximately 10x12 inches on a floured surface.
- Spread the cooled spinach mixture over half of the pastry and sprinkle with crumbled feta.
- Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling and press down to seal.
- Cut the folded pastry into 1-inch strips and twist each strip gently.
- Place the twisted strips on the prepared baking sheet and brush with beaten egg for glaze.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
