Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and season the whole chicken with turmeric, cumin, and coriander. Let it rest for 15 minutes.
  2. Roast the chicken for about 1 hour until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F).
  3. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak in warm water for 30 minutes.
  4. In a large pot, bring broth to a boil, then add drained rice and cook for 5-7 minutes until nearly tender.
  5. Layer the partly cooked rice over the chicken in a roasting pan, cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  6. Cook for an additional 20-25 minutes at 180°C (350°F).
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest covered for 10 minutes, then garnish with herbs and serve with lime.
