Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine fresh blackberries, balsamic vinegar, honey, salt, and black pepper. Gently mash the berries while cooking, allowing the mixture to bubble and thicken for about 5 minutes.
  3. Softly spread unsalted butter on one side of each slice of rustic bread.
  4. Place two slices of bread on a clean surface, buttered side down. Layer the brie cheese on the unbuttered side of each slice.
  5. Spoon the blackberry balsamic sauce generously over the brie.
  6. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side up, and gently press down.
  7. Carefully place the assembled sandwich onto your preheated skillet. Grill each side for 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is gooey.
