Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out your pizza dough to about ¼ inch thick and slice into 4x4 inch squares or circles.
  3. Spoon a small amount of marinara sauce into the center of each dough piece, leaving a half-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the marinara sauce.
  5. Fold each piece of dough over the filling to create a pocket, pinching the edges tightly to seal.
  6. Beat the egg and brush over the tops of each pocket. Sprinkle dried oregano or garlic powder on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown and cheese is bubbling.
  8. Let cool for about 5 minutes before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
