  • 2 cups Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Dark chocolate can be used for a richer experience.
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk Coconut condensed milk works well for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter For a vegan option, substitute with dairy-free butter.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Almond extract can be used for a unique twist.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Balances the sweetness of the fudge.
For the Marshmallow Swirl
  • 1 cup Marshmallow Fluff (or Cream) Mini marshmallows can be used, but fluff is recommended for optimal swirls.

Equipment

  • medium saucepan
  • Spatula
  • 8x8 inch baking dish

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Marshmallow Swirl Fudge
  1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously for about 5 minutes until melted and smooth.
  2. Remove from heat, then add in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing until well incorporated.
  3. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Pour the warm chocolate mixture into the dish and spread evenly.
  4. Drop dollops of marshmallow fluff over the fudge layer. With a knife, gently swirl the marshmallow into the fudge for a marbled look.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
  6. Once chilled, lift the fudge out using the parchment overhang and cut into squares.
