Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine fresh or frozen cranberries, sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, and water. Cook over medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes until the cranberries burst.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) or 350°F (175°C) for convection ovens.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and grated extra-sharp cheddar cheese until smooth. Gently fold in the homemade cranberry sauce and reserved cranberries.
  4. Spoon the creamy mixture into a greased baking dish, and sprinkle remaining shredded cheddar over the top. Bake for 18–23 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  5. Let it sit for a few minutes before serving with dippers such as crostini, crackers, or pita chips.
