Preparation Steps
- Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes. Place one large flour tortilla in the center of the pan, allowing it to warm for 30 seconds until slightly soft and pliable.
- Sprinkle half a cup of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the warm tortilla in the pan. Place a second tortilla on top and press down firmly.
- Cook the pizzadilla for 2-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes on the other side.
- Remove the pizzadilla from the pan onto a baking sheet. Spread a layer of pizza sauce on top, sprinkle additional mozzarella cheese, and layer on pepperoni slices and optional black olives.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Transfer the baking sheet with the assembled pizzadilla into the oven and bake for 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Remove the pizzadilla from the oven and let it cool for a minute. Slice into wedges with a sharp knife and serve immediately.
