  • 2 cups Milk Cold milk is needed to prepare the pudding.
Layering
  • 1 container Cool Whip Thawed before use to add light, fluffy texture.
  • 4 cups Fresh Strawberries Washed, stemmed, and sliced. Thawed frozen strawberries can substitute.
Optional Topping
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips For drizzling over the top, optional.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl
  • Trifle Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Baking Pan

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven as per the brownie mix package instructions. Prepare brownie batter according to the box and pour into a greased baking pan. Bake for recommended time until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 1-inch squares.
  2. While the brownies cool, wash and stem fresh strawberries under cold running water. Pat dry and slice into thin pieces. Set aside to develop natural juices.
  3. In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk as directed on the package. Whisk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in thawed Cool Whip until evenly combined.
  4. In a large trifle bowl, place half the brownie squares, cover with half the pudding mixture, and then half the sliced strawberries.
  5. Repeat the layering process with remaining brownie squares, pudding mixture, and top with the remaining sliced strawberries.
  6. If desired, melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the top layer of strawberries.
  7. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
