Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven as per the brownie mix package instructions. Prepare brownie batter according to the box and pour into a greased baking pan. Bake for recommended time until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before cutting into 1-inch squares.
- While the brownies cool, wash and stem fresh strawberries under cold running water. Pat dry and slice into thin pieces. Set aside to develop natural juices.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk as directed on the package. Whisk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Fold in thawed Cool Whip until evenly combined.
- In a large trifle bowl, place half the brownie squares, cover with half the pudding mixture, and then half the sliced strawberries.
- Repeat the layering process with remaining brownie squares, pudding mixture, and top with the remaining sliced strawberries.
- If desired, melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the top layer of strawberries.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes
Allow brownies to cool completely to prevent sogginess. Chill the assembled trifle for best flavor. Consider pudding alternatives for richer taste.
