  • Spatula
  • nonstick skillet

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, add 2 cups of almond flour, 1/4 cup of psyllium husk, and 1 cup of finely shredded mozzarella cheese. Use a whisk to blend the dry ingredients thoroughly for an even consistency.
  2. Crack in one large egg and mix well with the dry ingredients using a spoon or spatula.
  3. Pour in 1/2 cup of warm water slowly while continuously stirring the mixture, ensuring you achieve a soft but not sticky dough.
  4. Divide the dough into four equal portions, each weighing about 70 grams, roll each portion into a smooth ball, then flatten them into discs about ½ inch thick.
  5. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of butter or oil.
  6. Carefully place the flattened discs in the hot skillet, cooking each for 4 to 5 minutes, then gently flip and cook the other side for another 4 to 5 minutes.
  7. Transfer the cooked Keto Arepas to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
