Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the green cabbage into eight wedges, keeping the core intact.
  3. In your preheated skillet, add olive oil and sear the cabbage wedges for 2-3 minutes on each side.
  4. Sauté diced red onion in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes until softened, then add minced garlic and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Deglaze the pan with low-sodium chicken broth and stir in cream cheese until smooth.
  6. Stir in heavy cream, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and dried herbs, simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  7. Return the seared cabbage to the skillet, spoon the sauce over it, cover, and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Uncover the skillet, baste the cabbage with sauce, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until tender.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
