Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by trimming any visible fat from the chuck roast to ensure your sandwiches are not greasy and cut into chunks.
  2. Place the trimmed chunks into the crock pot and sprinkle with Italian dressing mix, adding the pepperoncini, giardiniera, and beef broth.
  3. Cover and set the crock pot to low for about 9 hours.
  4. Once done, shred the beef in the crock pot and let soak in juices for 1 hour.
  5. Slice and toast the buns lightly, then heap shredded beef on the bottom half and top with provolone cheese.
  6. Assemble with the top half of the bun; optionally garnish with more peppers and giardiniera.
