Preparation
- Carefully wash and dry the butter lettuce leaves and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the ground chicken in the skillet for 5-7 minutes until no longer pink.
- Add diced onion, minced garlic, and ginger to the skillet; sauté until onion softens.
- Stir in chopped water chestnuts, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Fold in sliced green onions, reserving some for garnish; combine well.
- Spoon filling into lettuce leaves and garnish with reserved green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve immediately on a platter.
