Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, bring 6 cups of filtered water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
- Add 4 black tea bags to the hot water and let them steep for 5 minutes.
- While the tea cools, gather 2 cups of diced fresh pineapple and 2 cups of diced ripe mango. In a blender, combine these fruits with 1 cup of cold water. Blend until smooth.
- Place a fine mesh strainer over a pitcher and pour the blended fruit mixture through it, pressing down to extract juice.
- Pour the strained fruit puree into the pitcher containing the cooled tea and mix well.
- If desired, drizzle honey into the mixture to sweeten your iced tea and stir well.
- Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to chill.
- Fill tall glasses with ice and pour the chilled Pineapple Mango Iced Tea over the top, garnishing with fresh pineapple wedges and mango slices.
