For the Shrimp
  • 1 pound Large Shrimp Use fresh or properly thawed frozen shrimp.
  • 2 tablespoons Jerk Sauce Adjust based on heat preference.
  • ¼ teaspoon Adobo Seasoning Can substitute with Cajun or Creole seasoning.
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Can substitute with half-and-half or non-dairy alternative.
  • 3 cloves Crushed Garlic Fresh garlic preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
For the Vegetables
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers (Yellow, Red, Green) Can substitute with other veggies.
  • ¼ cup Green Onions/Spring Onions Shallots are a suitable substitute.
For the Finishing Touch
  • ½ cup Cheeses (Parmesan, Mozzarella, Cheddar) Use one or a mix for flavor.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the large shrimp with jerk sauce and adobo seasoning, refrigerate for 10 minutes.
  2. Cook the penne pasta in boiling salted water until al dente, drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté the marinated shrimp in oil over medium-high heat until pink and opaque, then transfer to a plate.
  4. Sauté garlic and chopped bell peppers in the same skillet until fragrant.
  5. Add heavy cream and seasonings, let simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
  6. Stir in the cheeses until melted and well combined.
  7. Combine shrimp and pasta in the skillet, gently toss until well coated.
  8. Serve warm, garnished with chopped green onions.
