For the Teriyaki Sauce
  • 1 cup Teriyaki Sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Orange Juice Always opt for fresh
  • 1 tbsp Orange Zest Zest from a fresh orange
For Garnish
  • 1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional, adjust to taste
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions Chopped
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds Optional
For Serving
  • 2 cups Steamed Rice White, brown, or cauliflower rice

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small saucepan, combine teriyaki sauce, fresh orange juice, and orange zest. Stir over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
  3. Place salmon filets into a shallow dish and pour the warm teriyaki mixture over them. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Arrange salmon filets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for about 14 minutes.
  5. Switch oven to broil, baste the salmon with leftover teriyaki sauce, and broil for 1 minute.
  6. Plate the salmon over steamed rice and garnish with red pepper flakes, green onions, and sesame seeds.
