- In a medium bowl, combine equal parts yellow and brown mustard seeds with water and apple cider vinegar. Soak for 12 to 24 hours.
- Mix together paprika, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and salt in a small bowl for the spice blend. Set aside.
- Drain the soaked mustard seeds and transfer to a saucepan. Add the vinegar mixture and your sweetener.
- Cook the mixture over medium-low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Blend the mixture until desired texture is achieved. If too thick, add water or vinegar as needed.
- Allow the mustard to cool, then transfer to a clean jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before using.
