  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce look for natural brands
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Shallot finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Fish Sauce or soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Grated Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
For the Buns and Toppings
  • 4 whole Whole Wheat Burger Buns
  • 1 cup Lettuce for serving
  • 1 cup Cucumber sliced for serving
  • 1 small Red Onion sliced for serving
  • 1/4 cup Extra Sweet Chili Sauce for drizzling

Method
 

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, finely chopped shallot, fish sauce (or soy sauce), lime juice, cilantro, grated ginger, black pepper, and salt. Gently mix until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into a patty about ½ inch thick, pressing an indentation into the center. Refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat, around 375°F (190°C). Lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.
  4. Gently place the patties onto the grill or skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned, then flip and cook for 4-5 minutes until they reach 165°F (74°C).
  5. Toast the whole wheat burger buns until golden brown, layer with lettuce, place a turkey patty on top, garnish with cucumber and red onion, and drizzle with extra sweet chili sauce. Serve hot.
