Ingredients
  

For the Tuna Cakes
  • 2 cans Solid White Tuna Drained
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs Can substitute gluten-free
  • 2 stalks Green Onions Chopped
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper Diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 1 large Egg Can substitute with flax egg for vegan
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Can substitute with olive oil
  • to taste Salt and Pepper Adjust as per preference
  • 1 cup Vegetable Oil For frying
For Spicy Mayo
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha Sauce Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Lime Juice Lemon juice can be used
  • a pinch Salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients and drain the canned tuna.
  2. Combine tuna, panko, green onions, bell pepper, garlic, ginger, egg, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Shape the mixture into patties, about ½ inch thick.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Carefully fry the patties for 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Use a slotted spatula to drain excess oil.
  7. In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha, lime juice, and salt for spicy mayo.
  8. Serve the warm tuna cakes with the spicy mayo on the side.
