  • 1 medium Onion or shallots
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese or mozzarella
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper or white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce optional; can substitute with soy sauce
For the Custard Topping
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk or almond/oat milk
  • 1/3 cup All-Purpose Flour or gluten-free blend
For Preparation

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  3. Season the beef and onion mixture with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well.
  4. Grease a 9-inch pie dish and spread the seasoned beef mixture evenly in the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and flour until smooth. Pour this mixture evenly over the beef and cheese layers.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden-brown and the center is set.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing.
