Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Ensure each piece is well coated and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or stovetop pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on one side, then flip to cook the other side for the same duration.
  5. Continue cooking until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes.
  7. Slice the chicken or serve it whole, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
