  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce use gluten-free if needed
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch optional for thickening
For the Salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets wild-caught Pacific preferred
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil for dairy-free option

Preparation Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add butter or olive oil until melted and bubbling.
  2. Season salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side up in the skillet and sear for 3-5 minutes.
  3. Flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  4. Lower the heat to medium and add orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to the skillet. Optionally add cornstarch mixed with water.
  5. Cook the glaze mixture until it thickens slightly, about 30-60 seconds.
  6. Return salmon to the skillet, ensuring each piece is fully coated in the glaze, and warm through for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and optionally garnish with sliced orange before serving warm.
