Preparation Steps
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add butter or olive oil until melted and bubbling.
- Season salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper. Place them skin-side up in the skillet and sear for 3-5 minutes.
- Flip the salmon fillets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F.
- Lower the heat to medium and add orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to the skillet. Optionally add cornstarch mixed with water.
- Cook the glaze mixture until it thickens slightly, about 30-60 seconds.
- Return salmon to the skillet, ensuring each piece is fully coated in the glaze, and warm through for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and optionally garnish with sliced orange before serving warm.
