Step-by-Step Instructions for Maple Banana Bread
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. Sift together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl.
  3. Beat unsalted butter and brown sugar together in a large bowl until fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gradually add maple syrup, mixing for another minute.
  5. Incorporate eggs one at a time, mixing on low until fully blended.
  6. Fold in mashed bananas and vanilla extract until combined.
  7. Mix dry ingredients into wet mixture alternately with yogurt/sour cream.
  8. Carefully fold in chopped nuts and reserve a handful for topping.
  9. Pour batter into loaf pan, sprinkle reserved nuts on top, and bake for 50-60 minutes.
  10. After 30 minutes, cover with foil if the top is browning too quickly.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire rack. Drizzle warm maple syrup on top.
